Sustainable Management and Carbon Management: El Gouna's Strategy to Achieve Net-Zero GHG Emissions
We enabled the Egyptian city of El Gouna to aim for GHG emissions neutrality with a structured carbon management approach. The GHG emissions inventory identified major greenhouse gas sources and guided targeted actions: public lighting efficiency, sustainable mobility, renewable energy installations, and optimized waste management. Through LCA analysis, sustainability KPIs, and ISO certifications, the city implemented concrete strategies to reduce environmental impact and enhance energy performance.
